So last year in December, right after finals, my family and I took off immediately to Sabah, also known as Northern Borneo. Sarawak and Sabah are neighbouring states in the Island of Borneo, We actually stayed at the Promenade but it was unkept and filthy. I do recommend for people who wants cheaper lodging to go for One Borneo Hotel which is near shopping malls and the night markets as well as a 20 minute walk to the jetty.
The main focus of the trip was Mount Kundasang. It is highly advisable for travelers to bring warmer clothes if you are not use to the cold or if you are use to Malaysian humidity because up there, it is extremely cold. Best place to stay? Kinabalu Park. It is pricey for Malaysians but for foreigners, it may be cheaper depending on your currencies. So the pictures I took are mainly the ones at the mountain
