Slow Living Transitioning Process
Back in 2016, I unintentionally discovered the slow living movement. It started when I watched korean freelancer on Youtuber, Sueddu. She managed to capture moments in her lifestyle that seemed so peaceful and slow-paced.
Though it may not be as exactly as she portrayed in on video, it still caught my attention. As I googled for more youtubers like her, I found her friend, Heejo as well as another similar youtuber, Haegreendal. The best part about these types of videos is that it is non-verbal, there is no talking, just filming moments in their lives and their home.
That's not the only element from their content. The art of home maintenance and self-care, that is the point of the content in which I have caught on. It was refreshing, warm and made me feel like everything is worth it.
Despite the many content on slow living from the west, I seem to prefer the east asian content. Perhaps because I, myself is one. I look forward to learning more regarding this movement.
This is a change I feel I need to experiment in my life. With the keyword for 2021 being freedom, I understand why this year I need to take action. I have been putting off my dreams and letting fear take over.
Being an anxious person, I felt the need to take this step to learn to live slowly and not worry too much about what hasn't happen. I need to take control of my life, my choices and my responsibilites. That is what I can understand from the slow living lifestyle.
This is just a rant on my transitioning process to a slow living life. It is slow progress, but hey, progress though.
